President Trump’s state visit to England next month will be a family affair.
The president’s children and their spouses are expected to attend a banquet hosted by Queen Elizabeth II during the three-day trip beginning June 3, ABC News reported, citing a White House source.
The Trump children – Ivanka and her husband Jared Kushner, Eric Trump and his wife Lara, Donald Trump Jr. and Tiffany Trump – are also expected to meet with Prince William and his wife, Kate, the report on Thursday said.
“President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump accepted the invitation from Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II to visit the United Kingdom from June 3 to 5, 2019,” the White House said in a statement to ABC. “This state visit will reaffirm the steadfast and special relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.”
A White House spokesman declined to comment about whether Trump’s children would accompany him on the trip.
Buckingham Palace and the White House are still working out final details for the visit.
The president and first lady Melania Trump are expected to have tea with Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla.
During their visit to England last July, Trump and his wife had tea with the queen at Windsor Castle.
